The journey to a new smile with All-on-4 dental implants begins with a comprehensive examination at Aesthetic Dental Zone. Our experienced implant surgeon will assess your oral health, discuss your treatment goals, and take X-rays and impressions where needed to create a personalized treatment plan.
Step 2: Implant Placement
Preparation and Assessment:
On the day of the procedure, you will be provided with local anesthesia to numb the surgical area, ensuring that you experience minimal discomfort during the surgery. If you have chosen sedation dentistry options, such as intravenous (IV) sedation or oral sedation, these will be administered to keep you relaxed and anxiety-free throughout the procedure.
The key to the All-on-4 procedure is the strategic placement of four dental implants for each arch (either upper or lower). These implants are made of biocompatible materials, usually titanium. The surgical team at Aesthetic Dental Zone will precisely place these implants in the jawbone.
- Anterior Implants: Two implants are placed towards the front of the arch, where the bone density is typically higher. This positioning provides immediate stability and support for the front teeth.
- Posterior Implants: The remaining two implants are positioned at an angle towards the rear of the arch. This angulation maximizes contact with the available bone, allowing for secure anchoring of the entire prosthesis.
Following implant placement, you’ll receive a temporary set of teeth that will allow you to smile and eat with confidence while your implants integrate with your jawbone. This temporary restoration is designed to look and function like natural teeth.
Healing and Osseointegration
Over the next few months, the implants will naturally fuse with your jawbone through a process called osseointegration. This ensures the stability and longevity of your All-on-4 dental implants.
Once the integration process is complete, you’ll return to Aesthetic Dental Zone to receive your final, custom-crafted set of teeth. These permanent restorations are designed to fit comfortably and provide the appearance and functionality of natural teeth.
